„Gallihof“ in Steffisburg / BE

In the heart of the village center of Steffisburg, Varem, together with its partner M&K Architektur AG and the Thun-based architectural team from akkurat bauatelier GmbH, developed the Hostet on the site of the historic Gallihof. With great respect for the historical context, a car-reduced residential complex consisting of three buildings was constructed. Using a hybrid construction method with timber facades, green flat roofs, and modern building technology such as geothermal probes and a PV system, a future-oriented small-scale development was created, enabling sustainable living in a park-like setting in the center of town. The project comprises three buildings featuring 1, 2.5, 3.5, and 4.5-room apartments.
